Ingredient Receiving Specialist

As the Ingredient Receiving Specialist your primary role will be to provide scale coverage and assist with miscellaneous clerical work.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Operate the grain elevator scale which includes weighing and grading inbound and outbound grain to issue scale tickets
  • Receiving ingredient inventory and lot numbers into a computer program
  • Assisting with quality control and claim submission

Grain and Feed Procurement Manager

As the Grain and Feed Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for effectively/efficiently supplying ingredients to the Reicks View Farms Mill and buying those ingredients at the best possible price while maintaining agreed upon quality standards in collaboration with the Reicks View Farms Live Production team.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities: 

  • Developing a strategic, risk management style approach across critical ingredient purchases to ensure that the company is continually working towards competitive pricing
  • Direct responsibility for purchasing corn, soybean meal, fats, distiller’s grains, bakery, and soybean hulls (large usage ingredients) and oversight of purchasing non-commodity ingredients for our feed mill locations
  • Develop and maintain current and new ingredient vendor relationships while acting as an ambassador of Reicks View Farms as a whole
  • Supervising Ingredient Procurement team (Ingredient Procurement Assistant, Ingredient Receiving Specialist)
  • Monitoring toll mill ingredient pricing and challenging them on cost, supporting them to lower cost, or purchasing direct to toll mill
  • Monitor and analyze agricultural commodity markets both at the local, domestic, and global level to assist upper management in key decision making

Crops Office Assistant

Reicks View Farms is seeking a Crops Office Assistant to join our office team.

As the Crops Office Assistant, you will provide administrative support to leadership and our crops department to manage our corn operation.  

In this role, you’ll have the following responsibilities: 

  • Assist field staff with guidance information and hardware
  • Utilize software to track crop production progress and compile reports
  • Maintain records for crop applications and field tasks
  • Support the company’s application for crop related government programs
  • Assist with the company’s Manure Management Plan, an important part of the fertility program
  • Support leadership with managing land contracts
  • Act as a backup for crops accounting 

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail oriented, organized and have the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines.  This person should also be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn other software programs.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Reicks View Farms is seeking Equipment Operators to join our crops department.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Operate farm equipment during planting and harvest seasons
  • Perform tillage tasks in the spring and fall
  • Assist with preparing construction sites
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and heavy machinery
  • Plow snow from driveways and parking lots

The ideal person has extensive knowledge of heavy machinery and is dependable with a strong work ethic.

EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL PERSONNEL

Areas of operation including but not limited to: Sow Units, Nursery Barns, Finishing Barns, Feed Mill, General Farm Maintenance

Tasks may include: Installation/wiring of motors, controllers, fans, alarm systems, generator upkeep, troubleshooting and maintenance on existing equipment.

BREEDING TECHNICIAN

Responsible for daily care, health and maintenance of all animals on site.

Tasks include: animal movements, breeding and gestation, record keeping, and general farm maintenance.

Experience preferred but willing to train.

Staff Accountant

As the Staff Accountant you would be a financial specialist who reviews construction budgets, investigates variances, approves expenses, and ensures that construction billings are issued to clients and payments collected. 

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform professional level accounting work in the review and adequate maintenance of fiscal records
  • Review and analyze the capitalization of costs and ensures compliance
  • Review all construction/project budgets, including work plans, staffing, and fee structures
  • Run monthly accounting meetings for project review
  • Maintain billing folders for projects
  • Communicate with Project Manager on contract agreements, bonding, and insurance

 

The ideal person to work as a Construction Accountant will be expected to have leadership skills, time management skills, can multitask, be able to problem-solve, is organized, have excellent business analysis, and cost analysis skills, efficient verbal and written communication skills.  Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.  This person is also friendly, dependable, confidential, trustworthy, and has a professional demeanor.  Two-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.

FEED TRUCK OPERATOR

As a Feed Truck Driver, you’ll assist in our mission of “Families Feeding Families” by providing safe, high-quality pork to consumers around the world.  Everyday you’ll play a vital role by safely delivering feed to barns throughout our production system.

As a member of our team, you’ll be responsible for operating a semi-truck and feed trailer to transport and deliver feed to our sow, nursery and finishing barns. Feed is loaded into the trailer at the feed mill using an overhead drop.  Once arriving at the designated barn, you will unload feed into the feed bins by controlling a hydraulic boom and auger. 

The ideal person is a dependable and conscientious driver with a Class A CDL and clean driving record.

This position is ideal if you want the ability to be home each day and like to get in and out of the cab several times a day.  This position averages 50 hours per week with day and night shifts available.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

PRODUCTION TRAINEE

This position is responsible for an individualsow unit production. Areas of Focus: Training, Managing and oversight of all farm laborers, herdsmen and department heads.

Making sure all maintenance issues are addressed.

Creating a team environment with a common goal of producing healthy pigs.

finishing supervisor

A successful candidate will work as a liaison between Reicks View Farms and its contract growers. The finishing supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production, well-being, and performance of the pigs from their arrival to their delivery within the finishing department.

This position involves working in an agricultural environment with hands-on interaction with livestock, regular structured routines and administrative duties.

hog driver

Individual would be responsible for hauling pigs locally 40-45 hours per week.

A successful candidate must have a Class A CDL and must be a safe driver with a clean driving record. This position is not an over the road position and individual would be home daily.

We have both day and night positions available.

Candidate must have a team player personality.

SWINE PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Reicks View Farms is seeking a motivated individual to be part of our team. No experience needed as we have an extensive training program. A successful candidate will enjoy caring for animals.

We have raised our starting wage to $15.00 per hour and offer a comprehensive benefits program.

A successful candidate will assist in recruitment of international workers. This person would assist the HR department in recruiting and orientation of international workers. This may include attending appointments, translation of documents, assist with housing, orientation and other duties.

This person will need to be detailed oriented, confidential, trustworthy, have the ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Spanish, organized, proficient on a computer, have good people skills and a team player personality.

Quality Meats Manager

The Quality Meats Manager is responsible for overseeing the department’s operations, ensuring food safety, reconciling inventory, and performing customer satisfaction. As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Direct supply chain functions of planning, scheduling, transportation, storage, and procurement
  • Reconcile and balance inventory materials 
  • Work as a communication liaison between plant, vendors, retailers, and customer service
  • Oversee and expand sales; very customer service oriented 
  • Execute shipping of daily sales

The ideal person to work as a Quality Meats Manager will have 2-5 years experience in a supply chain role or a degree in Supply Chain Management or Accounting.   This candidate would be highly organized, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detailed oriented.  Will need to be able to lift 40+ lbs. occasionally and Food safety experience is preferred but not required.

Head Maintenance Tech

As the Head Maintenance Tech, you’ll manage our finisher maintenance team by prioritizing tasks and ensuring they are completed in an efficient manner.
As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on hog barn equipment including, but not limited to: motors, actuators, environmental controls, feeders and gates, generators, feedlines, fans, inlets, curtains, and general building maintenance.
  • Manage a team of Maintenance Techs, including scheduling around biosecurity measures.
  • Manage inventory.
  • Communicate daily other team members and outside vendors.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot unique maintenance situations and connect with outside resources for assistance if needed.
  • This position will also share possession of an after-hours on-call cell phone with other team members.

Property Maintenance Technician

As a Property Maintenance Technician, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance for multiple properties
  • Repair, install fixtures and appliances, and replace damaged systems
  • Diagnose and repair problems related to heating, electricity, water systems and appliances
  • Locate competitive subcontractors for major projects
  • Be available to respond to night and weekend emergency needs

The ideal candidate has an understanding of the technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
