IT SOFTWARE SPECIALIST

As the IT Software Specialist, you will serve as the company’s on-site IT superhero by delivering IT solutions and helping bridge our custom applications and commercial software.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Modify, enhance and improve existing IT systems and applications
  • Design, maintain and implement database management systems, computer applications and operating systems
  • Analyze the company’s software needs, devise solutions and maintain PC software and hardware systems
  • Program, test, debug and maintain applications in client-server or web-based environments

The ideal candidate will be creative and innovative with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.  This individual will have a firm knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in software development, as well as possess understanding in network technologies, PC workstations, video/audio technologies and cellular devices.  A minimum of 3-5 years IT/software experience is required.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Reicks View Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at our new sow unit near Hawkeye, IA.

As a Maintenance Technician you’ll play a vital role by ensuring our barn operates efficiently, so we can provide a safe and healthy environment for our pigs.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Install and wire motors, controllers, fans and alarm systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Work closely with the Sow Unit Manager to ensure the barn operates and maximum efficiency
  • Be available for on-call rotation for night and weekend maintenance emergencies
  • Understand and comply with biosecurity protocols

A successful candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and be able to organize and prioritize tasks.  This person should be accountable and dependable.

OFFICE assistant

As the Office Assistant you will provide scale coverage during harvest and assist with miscellaneous clerical work.

As a member of our team, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Operate the grain elevator scale which includes weighing and grading inbound and outbound grain to issue scale tickets
  • Receiving ingredient inventory and lot numbers into computer program
  • Assisting with quality control and claim submission

The ideal person for this position has excellent communication skills and is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.  This person is also friendly, dependable, organized, trustworthy, and has a professional demeanor.  The internship will be from late September 2021 to approximately January 15, 2022, with the possibility of turning into full time employment.

BREEDING TECHNICIAN

Responsible for daily care, health and maintenance of all animals on site.

Tasks include: animal movements, breeding and gestation, record keeping, and general farm maintenance.

Experience preferred but willing to train.

FARROWING TECHNICIAN

FEED TRUCK OPERATOR

As a Feed Truck Driver, you’ll assist in our mission of “Families Feeding Families” by providing safe, high-quality pork to consumers around the world.  Everyday you’ll play a vital role by safely delivering feed to barns throughout our production system.

As a member of our team, you’ll be responsible for operating a semi-truck and feed trailer to transport and deliver feed to our sow, nursery and finishing barns. Feed is loaded into the trailer at the feed mill using an overhead drop.  Once arriving at the designated barn, you will unload feed into the feed bins by controlling a hydraulic boom and auger. 

The ideal person is a dependable and conscientious driver with a Class A CDL and clean driving record.

This position is ideal if you want the ability to be home each day and like to get in and out of the cab several times a day.  This position averages 50 hours per week with day and night shifts available.

PRODUCTION TRAINEE

This position is responsible for an individualsow unit production. Areas of Focus: Training, Managing and oversight of all farm laborers, herdsmen and department heads.

Ability to perform all functions of
all jobs within sow unit.

Achieving production goals on a daily, weeklyand annual basis.

Making sure all maintenance issues are addressed.

Creating a team environment with a common goal of producing healthy pigs.

Ensuring proper treatment, handling, and facilities of animals.

finishing supervisor

A successful candidate will work as a liaison between Reicks View Farms and its contract growers. The finishing supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production, well-being, and performance of the pigs from their arrival to their delivery within the finishing department.

This position involves working in an agricultural environment with hands-on interaction with livestock, regular structured routines and administrative duties.

Individual would be responsible for hauling pigs locally 40-45 hours per week.

A successful candidate must have a Class A CDL and must be a safe driver with a clean driving record. This position is not an over the road position and individual would be home daily.

We have both day and night positions available.

Candidate must have a team player personality.

SWINE PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Reicks View Farms is seeking a motivated individual to be part of our team. No experience needed as we have an extensive training program. A successful candidate will enjoy caring for animals.

We have raised our starting wage to $15.00 per hour and offer a comprehensive benefits program.
