Scholarships

Jordan Voves is a scholarship recipient for our Families Feeding Families Scholarship in 2019. He is currently attending college at Hawkeye Community College while working towards obtaining his Iowa Electrical License. Jordan has been able to work full-time with us while attending college.
While his time here, Jordan said that he has most enjoyed the the hands on learning experiences. “I love the challenges that are thrown my way,” said Jordan. “Being able to track down what the problem is and come up with a solution is fun to me. I also am able to learn about the other areas of operations at Reicks View Farms that has allowed me to grow outside of my electrical skills.”
Jordan works closely with a few other electricians. They work together to continue to keep our pig facilities working efficiently. It’s crucial our facilities continue to run so our pigs can stay comfortable and healthy.

Reicks View Farms Scholarship

Reicks View Farms is proud to offer a full scholarship to applicants of programs in the following fields of study:

  • Swine Production
  • Industrial Mechanics
  • Diesel Mechanic
  • Industrial Electrician
  • Plumbing
  • Other degrees not listed above, but apply to our business

To qualify, applicants must be:

  • Accepted to an accredited Iowa community college 
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average while enrolled
  • Maintain full-time employment with Reicks View Farms in the summer months
  • Maintain full-time employment with Reicks View Farms for two years following graduation.

It is important to Reicks View Farms to help enrich the lives of not only their employees, but their family members as well. 

To do this, RVF is offering a $2,000 scholarship to graduating seniors who have a parent or guardian who has been employed by Reicks View Farms for at least one year.  This scholarship is dispersed in $1,000 increments following the fall semester for two years.

To qualify, applicants must provide:

  • Enrollment verification for the spring semester
  • Transcripts from the following semester
  • Contact information for payment
